Who is Eligible for the Child Health Clinic?

All children from birth to 18 years old.

What can you do for me?

Improve the health status of children from birth to age 18 through screening, early detection, education, and preventative care. Services include Well Child Care, Sick Visits (call daily to schedule an appointment), Dental Screening, Developmental Screening, Kindergarten Physicals, Headstart Physicals, School Physicals, WIC Services, Lead Screening, Lab Services, Sports and Camp Physicals, Evaluation of School Problems, Immunizations, and Breast Feeding Consultation and Education.

What does it cost?

The fees are based on income and number of persons in your household (sliding fee scale). Medicaid is accepted, self pay, insurance, NC Health Choice for children, and Carolina Access.

How can I schedule an appointment and where are you located?

You can schedule an appointment by calling 433-3654 Monday thru Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. We are located on the 2nd Floor of the E. Newton Smith Public Health Center.
