Health Department Seeks Public Input For Director Search

Oct 26, 2018

The Cumberland County Department of Public Health, in collaboration with Developmental Associates, will hold a Public Listening Session Thursday, Nov. 1, at 6 p.m. to solicit public input for the hiring of the County’s next Health Director. The listening session will be held in the Pate Room of Headquarters Library, located at 300 Maiden Lane in downtown Fayetteville.

Developmental Associates is the executive search firm that has been selected to assist the Board of Health in recruiting the next Health Director.

The public is invited and encouraged to share their thoughts, opinions and concerns about the issues in our community the next Health Director must deal with and the desired attributes they would like to see in the person hired to lead the Health Department.

“The Health Director Search Committee is committed to a transparent and engaging process and this Public Listening Session is a vital step,” said Interim Health Director Duane Holder. “Developmental Associates held Health Department Employee Listening Sessions on Oct. 23 and received valuable employee input.”

In addition to employees and the general public, representatives from key community partner agencies will be involved in the selection process.

If you have any questions about the search process or would like to give your input, please contact Ashley Yun, Administrative Assistant to the Health Director, at 910-433-3705 or ayun@co.cumberland.nc.us.
