County Closes EOC, Lifts State of Emergency

Cumberland County deactivated its Emergency Operations Center at 8 p.m. and terminated the State of Emergency that became effective at 8 a.m. today for Hurricane Michael. 

“There were no major incidents associated with this event. There has been sporadic power outages and trees down, but no reports of flooding or substantial damages,” said Tracy Jackson, Assistant County Manager and Interim Emergency Services Director.

All Cumberland County Government offices and the court system will be open and operate on a normal schedule Friday, Oct. 12.
