Reminder: Important Deadlines for Hurricane Food Benefits

The Cumberland County Department of Social Services reminds residents about the following deadlines for Hurricane Florence Food Assistance programs.

Disaster Food & Nutrition

Any citizens who do not currently receive food benefits and were impacted by power outages and/or flooding

Last day to apply: Saturday, Oct. 6

Hours on Friday, Oct. 5 & Saturday, Oct. 6:
7:30 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Cumberland County DSS

1225 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville

Disaster Food & Nutrition

Citizens age 60 and older or disabled citizens with mobility issues who do not currently receive benefits and were impacted by power outages and/or flooding

Last day to apply: Saturday, Oct. 6

Hours on Friday, Oct. 5 & Saturday, Oct. 6:
7:30 a.m.- 5 p.m.

St. Luke AME Church

522 Hillsboro Street, Fayetteville

Replacement Food & Nutrition

Any citizens currently receiving food benefits who were impacted by power outages and/or flooding

Ends October 15, 2018

Monday- Friday
7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Cumberland County DSS

1225 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville

Hot Food Waiver

Any citizens currently receiving food benefits including citizens approved for Disaster Food & Nutrition benefits

 

Ends October 31

Any food retailer that accepts the food and nutrition services Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card
