Cooperative Extension Announces October Better Living Workshops

Cumberland County Cooperative Extension will offer the Better Living Series workshops “Pumpkins with Panache” and “Crock-Tober” in October. Both events require registration and fee payment at least two days before the workshop. The workshops will be held in the Cumberland County Agriculture Center, 301 E. Mountain Dr., Fayetteville.

 

Pumpkins with Panache will be held Oct. 11 from 9 a.m. to noon. Attendees will learn how to turn plain faux pumpkins into beautiful fall décor by using fabric to create decorations. All supplies will be provided. The $10 registration fee is due by Oct. 9. Space is limited so early registration is encouraged.

 

Crock-Tober will be held Oct. 25 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Come learn the ins and outs of crockpot cooking while enjoying a warm meal prepared in a crock pot. Registration fee is $10 and due by Oct. 23. Space is limited so early registration is encouraged.

 

The workshop Make, Freeze, Heat, Eat! Make Ahead Eats for Every Meal, originally scheduled for Sept. 20, has been re-scheduled for Nov. 29.
