Cooperative Extension Announces August Better Living Workshops

Fayetteville, N.C. – Cumberland County Cooperative Extension will offer the Better Living Series workshops “Do It Yourself Fruit Bouquets” and the “NC Botanical Garden Visit” in August. Both events require registration and fee payment at least two days before the workshop.

 

The Do It Yourself Fruit Bouquets workshop will be held Aug. 9 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Agriculture Center, located at 301 E. Mountain Dr., Fayetteville. Participants will discover how to save money when creating fruit bouquets as Extension staff teach basic techniques to create edible arrangements. The $20 registration fee is due by Aug. 7.

 

The NC Botanical Garden Visit will be offered Aug. 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Join the Extension staff as they travel to the NC Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill. Highlights of the trip will be learning how to use native plants and practicing conservation in the landscape. Please bring money for lunch. Transportation will be provided. The $10 registration fee is due by Aug. 7.
