Health Department Offers Mold Remediation Class

The Cumberland County Department of Public Health will hold a mold remediation class July 23 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the third-floor auditorium of the Public Health Center at 1235 Ramsey Street. The class is free and open to all Cumberland County residents.

Attendees will learn about keeping and maintaining a healthy and mold-free home. Staff will be available to answer questions about allergy and asthma triggers and an Environmental Health Specialist will present information on how to reduce allergy and asthma triggers in your home. Representatives from the University of North Carolina’s Institute for the Environment and Sustainable Sandhills will also be available to answer questions.

Participants will receive education materials on healthy homes for families and children while supplies last.
