Extension Offers Fruit and Vegetable Freezing, Farm History Workshops in June

Fayetteville, N.C. – Cumberland County Cooperative Extension offers the Better Living Series workshops “Freezing and Blanching” and “The American Farm: Then and Now” in June. The workshops will be held at the Agriculture Center, located at 301 E. Mountain Dr., Fayetteville.


Freezing and Blanching will be held June 7 from 9 a.m. to noon. Cooperative Extension staff will help participants learn how to freeze fresh fruits and vegetables through hands-on techniques. The $10 registration fee is due by June 5. Class size is limited so early registration is encouraged.


The American Farm: Then and Now will be held June 21 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Come step into the past and learn what an American farm was like in the early 1900s. The $10 registration fee is due by June 19.
