Public Invited To Review Community Development Annual Action Plan

FAYETTEVILLE The 2018 Cumberland County Community Development Annual Action Plan is available for public review and comment online and at 10 locations in the county through May 2. A public hearing will be held on May 21 at 6:45 p.m. during the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners meeting in Room 118 of the Judge E. Maurice Braswell Cumberland County Courthouse at 117 Dick St.

 

A draft of the 2018 Annual Action Plan is posted under the Plans and Reports tab on the Community Development page at co.cumberland.nc.us/community-dev. Residents may email any comments to dtaylor@co.cumberland.nc.us.

 

Cumberland County is required to prepare and submit a one-year community development action plan to address the priority needs of affordable, safe, decent housing to low- and moderate-income residents; homeless people or those at risk of becoming homeless and the special needs population. The plan is a countywide strategic planning process including the input of governmental, nonprofit, business, members of the public and other community partners.

 

The Annual Action Plan is available for public view at the following locations during regular business hours:
