Cumberland County Extension Master Gardener Spring Plant Sale April 14

Fayetteville, N.C. – The Cumberland County Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Spring Plant Sale will be held April 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cumberland County Agriculture Center, 301 E. Mountain Dr., Fayetteville.


Payment by cash, checks and major credit cards is accepted. All plants for sale are locally grown. There is a selection of plants to attract birds, bees and butterflies, drought-tolerant plants with an emphasis on plants native to the area. Featured items for sale at this year’s event are blueberries and high-quality bluebird houses.


Proceeds from the plant sale will support horticulture scholarships, Cape Fear Botanical Garden, Extension Master Gardener Demonstration Garden, Master Gardener educational programs in schools, the Wounded Warrior Tranquility Garden at Womack Army Medical Center, Second Harvest Food Bank, Junior Master Gardener program and the annual Spring Symposium.
