Cumberland County Government strives to provide employees with a comprehensive benefits package in addition to medical, dental and vision policies. Benefits include a 1 percent employer matching contribution into the NC 401k plan, as well as an on-site wellness clinic and an employee pharmacy. The County provides paid leave to include sick, annual, military and school participation.

The County also provides voluntary benefits such as short & long term disability, policies for critical care and specified disease management, as well as permanent and term life insurance including employer-paid basic coverage to help protect employee income and assets.
