The Animal Services Department has a volunteer program and encourages anyone interested in caring for our animals to apply. Volunteers will work in the adoption area of the shelter performing various tasks.
Volunteers must be at least 12 years of age
- Ages 12-15 – May only become a volunteer when a parent or legal guardian is also a volunteer and accompanies them at all times. A minor release form must be signed.
- Ages 16-17 – Must have a parent or legal guardian attend the walkthrough session with them, and minor release form must be signed, but may come alone to volunteer after that is completed.
- Ages 18 and over are considered adult volunteers and must sign a release form and attend a walkthrough session.
